A Special Kudos to Roosevelt Johnson The result are now official, and Roosevelt Johnson missed the run-off by a mere seventeen votes. As a community, we should all be proud of the campaign waged by Mr. Johnson. When asked about his greatest campaign contributors at a mayoral forum, Mr. Johnson replied simply, "My shoes." And he wasn't being coy. Throughout the past two months, Mr. Johnson made it his mission to knock on the door of every single home in Alexandria. I'm not sure if he succeeded, but he definitely came close. I think it's commendable. It's a testament to how much Mr. Johnson cares about our city and its people.
